The Big Change
What do you think is climate change? What do you think we can do to stop it?
According to what I have found on other researches, "Climate change is the consequence of unchecked pollution. When carbon emissions caused by human activity enter the air they have dangerous effects on the environment, the economy, and our wellbeing. But just as humans cause it, we can halt its progress." Now what now has caused this? Us, humans.
And what dangerous effects have been taking place? Animals loose their habitats. It gets hotter and hotter and hotter. And you will see, one day we might all melt like a Popsicle on a summer day. Then when that time comes, that will be only when you will realize what we should all have done and then regret and rue this. Not only we get affected by this but the other creatures here in Earth. This is our home. Our planet. We should not try but do save her because ever since we were born, a responsibility has come upon us. Take care of the place we live in. Even in the most simplest way. Like saving electricity, not burning and so much more.
You know, with a bit of effort we can change our ways. People are just too stubborn at times. Realize what is best and realize it fast. The next generation might not see the beauty of nature anymore if this is the pace we are heading for change. Turn over a new leaf. Turn to the road less taken. You might not know what awaits and what better can come to nature.

Say It Loud, Say It Proud
Equal rights. Equal opportunities.
Who here thinks the same as I? No one. Because we are all different. But with rights, see here -- everyone, little or big, young and old have the same or equal rights and opportunities. Why do I say this? It is because there are those who take advantage of their position to get what they are after. Promotions, privileges, ranks? What are these? They simply give label. To those who are selfish to not even give a second glance to the less fortunate, I say, "Take a look at yourself and think what better you could do to help the world!"
No more discrimination! Say it loud and say it proud. What good does it do anyway? None. Exactly. Everyone has the right to be informed and to be knowledgeable.
Not only through this, people are equal but even through their jobs. Women have the power to be able to do and even outdo men. No one should be treated low and like dirt. We all have the chance to get up. So come and let us all take a stand.

The Language That Binds Together
When you go of to a far place, or far from the country we live in like the Philippines, what do you find? Tourist spots, maybe. Me? I go somewhere and think for a while. People around me would be speaking in a language I'm not even sure of. What I could only rely on as a source of sanity and well, a tool to be able to speak to anyone outside my comfort zone would be the English language.
You can just see how important of a language this is. Being a universal language and all. For the month of October, the school aims to encourage and hone students further to improve their skills and talents in English. You never know who would have the greatest talent or knowledge among us. Speaking is easy but finding the right words to say is difficult at times. All people or students have that talent of understanding well the language. Most need to be taught a lot and there are those who are fast learners.
As I said, the English binds our countries together. Not literally though because they are not adhesive tapes. but they bind us together through knowledge and we may learn from each together and that we may communicate with each other well. English has a lot more things to consider.
English is important to everyone of us. As this month passes by, let us not forget the importance of it. It can help us in many ways. Let us participate in the activities of the English month and let us succeed in them.
Well, thanks a bunch for reading! I appreciate it.

Cheers!
Second grading period. A tough one, too. But hey! We made it. Another chapter added to our lives. There had been so much going on. But we're still intact. I have learned a lot and I found more interesting information which I can add to my knowledge or knowings.
Even if in this year, what I had put into mind that this was going to be a long and boring quarter. Well, I stand corrected. HTML Tags and everything we have learned in ICT so far made me more interested in the world of technology or the web in my case. And in blogging, I get to pour out my feelings and express myself in the best way I can. Writing.
Moving on, I can't wait to learn or experience what is ahead of me. What adventures lies ahead? I have still yet to know. I'll be more responsible this time. I'll study hard and I'll try to aim high. This has been a fun quarter. I look forward to the next.
Cheers to a successful grading period!

A Teacher
What would you like to turn into when you are older? A lawyer, doctor, policeman, or a firefighter maybe? Yeah, I guess they are exciting jobs. But, well, have you ever considered becoming a teacher? Remember. Without them, there would be none of those other professionals today. They are the ones who teach us and tell us to strive harder.
On October 4, 2013, we celebrate the World Teachers' Day. It's our chance to show how we appreciate every bit of thing that they have done for us. They teach us, even when they are close to loosing their patience and temper with us. They teach us, even when it seems that we are close to giving up. They, who act as our second parents encourage us to become better people and prepare us for the future.
It's touching to see students serenading and tearing up to their teachers. It's touching to see them giving gifts, hugging and even sharing their messages to their teachers. Ever since the start of classes, students have formed their bonds with one another and of course, their teacher. And at the start of a teacher's career, he or she has started a quest to fill a child's mind with knowledge. When they hurt student because of misbehaving, we have to understand that it is for our own good. To all our teachers, thank you and we're sorry if we made you disappointed at us. To everyone else, let us remember to say our thanks to them and to respect and give praise to them. Not just in the World Teacher's Day but every single day. Thank you dearest Teachers!. We love you!

As a Science Clubber
Our planet faces so many problems. Problems that involve global warming, pollution, and natural calamities, so on and so forth. Yes, it is quite a lot and you might even think that we can not do it or make it. but we still can if we put a little bit more effort. And with that, we shall triumph over all boundaries and all obstacles.
People think about how hard it is to fix a problem that they think and think and keep on think that they forget to put into action. For the Science month, it stresses on that we should all go into action and save mother earth. It is as easy as pie if you think about it but thinking is different from working. To change, we have to do a lot of work and encouraging others.
In simple ways, we can help the environment turn better. By picking up pieces of litter or cooperating with the school or barangay's clean and green activities can help in more ways that you can think of. You know, we can work together to go into action.
"Every big action begins with a small step." If we do not help nature, slowly she will be swiped clean of the bounties she has to offer, then we will also slowly die. We can not just let this happen. We simply just can't!
As a science clubber, we know what to do. If we don't act now, we will all regret it. So let us do our job as science clubbers. Go into action into doing what is right. Now, with that, thank you for reading.

Modern Day Hero
There are a lot of people who I look up to. They make me inspired to do my work. This is why I would like to thank them. But still, I would like to add emphasis to the people I look up to the most. They are the people who took care of me and they are the people I would like to please the most. They are my modern heroes and most of all, my parents.
I admit, there were times that I have been called a spoiled brat. But even if there were times that I fluke or fail in everything that I do, they are still there for me. There are still there to love me and to cheer me on. And I look up to these very people I want to be when I grow up.
And, yes. They have hurt me at times just as other parents do to their children but I know it is for my own good. I do make lousy mistakes though I intend to change them. I hope thought that they will be able to excuse me for my attitude and actions wherein there where times I made them feel that I didn't care. But I still have hope. It's not too late for me to change. Like the ugly duckling, I'll change into a beautiful swan that will make them proud of me. I'll make it up to them. Then I'll become the people I look up to the most. My modern day heroes and my greatest inspiration. My dearest parents.

Pambansang Wika
Today, on the month of August, we celebrate and give importance to our country's language. One that has been fought by our nation's heroes. The people we should respect and learn from. This language in particular, the Filipino language is ours and this can't be taken away from us by anybody.
Every single one of us should know how important this is. To start, we should stand by what we know is right, and what we truly believe in. What is right by means of showing other our respect and how we use it is vital. We should not use the words of other countries if we do not know how to use ours. We should all fulfill our ancestor's wish. Our freedom that should have remained today and the love we should share with each Filipino.
Pahalagahan natin at ipagmalaki natin. Ang ating wikang Filipino!

Reflections
For this school year, I became excited to what I will learn. And for the first quarter, I have learned much. I have learned about the olden times where Internet was born and up to now, and that we have learned how to make our own blogs. Blogs can be our source of freedom wherein we can post our personal ideas and all. I have learned about the types and I have learned about the web and how everything is connected.
Even if at this year I encountered problems like not being able to follow instructions or do the right thing, I still managed with the help of my classmates. When I didn't understand something, I'd ask them and they would answer. So I'm grateful to them. The challenges I faced were with regards to the directions or instructions because my head was sometimes in the clouds. The problems, too. I only encountered a few so I easily overcame them.
Moving on, I saw the importance of Internet, how we can use it, how we can enhance what we already know through it and such. Can anyone see how wonderful an invention this is? The most convenient way to share opinions about what happens around us. What an amazing thing to learn. Like what John Morrow said, “Blogging isn’t about publishing as much as you can. It’s about publishing as smart as you can.”

State of the Nation Address
SONA. State of the Nation Address. Our president, Pres. Benigno "Noynoy" Simeon Aquino delivered his 4th SONA on the fourth Monday of the seventh month, July 22, 2013.
From what I have read about the speech of Pres. Noynoy Aquino, there are many accomplishments of our current president. He has done a lot for the Philippines. It's amazing to see and know that the families who can not afford much now have homes. The farmers now have more land to work on. And there are now hospitals which are willing to treat the poor and take care of them even, effectively and at a low cost.
I hope he can further keep the good work in improving the current status of our country. Though, even if there are many projects, we, students still need help in terms of protection and education.
Let us help the president in his quest for progress and success. We can help in our simple simple ways. Thank you for reading. God bless.

Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama Nating Wakasan
In everything we do, we use up energy. And we get the energy to do work by eating. Malnutrition. None of us want to go to this level. This school year, the Department of Education tells us, students to be more observant, more aware with regards to our health.
It is a simple way of letting the students realize what is important. We need to stay strong to be able to keep up in school. If not, we will be weak. We will not be able to cope up. We can easily fall down. I, as a student can see the importance. Malnutrition, with everyone's help can be solved. A good physical body can help in maintaining a healthy mind. And a healthy mind can help in becoming successful in the future.
We all have a purpose in life. And to do that purpose, we have to be ready for whatever comes in our way. Come, everyone! We can help by participating and listening to what we know is right. Let us fight starvation. Let us fight malnutrition. Together, we can take care of each and everyone of our fellowmen. We can all move and attain our goals. Thank you for reading and God bless.

Letter To The President
Gomez St. , VIgan City
Ilocos Sur National High School
June 26, 2013
Honorable President Benigno Simeon Cojuanco Aquino III
Malacañang Palace
Manila, Philippines
Dear Mr. President,
Greetings.
First and furthermost, I would like to thank you for your good services and devotion for the country. I am but a simple student. Young and some may even call me naive. But I am old enough to know what is going on in our country. I can see the economy rising. It is a great achievement, but here there are still people who suffer. As I walk around, and even in my hometown, there are still beggars. As we live, every one of us hopes to study, get a sturdy job and be content and happy in life.
Poverty, poor educational systems and pollution are one of the main problems here. I, as a student, would like to help in improving the condition currently taking place in the Philippines. A simple donation from those who can make a living can help. Every single one of them can. And with regards of the pollution, I do hope you, our hope and leader, can find a way to do something about this. It is wrong when I hear that people throw oils and harmful things to the ocean causing diseases and death to the marine creatures. What about the fish now? Some people fish to make even a small amount of money. The freedom to do so and the protection of the marine life is a must and should be looked over more.
There are many problems now. I, together with everyone else would like to resolve these. I have looked on the bright side. I know we, the people can give our full trust to you as our president. Don't forget that the life of a president is never really over. It is because his legacy goes on.
Thank you, Mr. President. Good luck and good day.
Respectfully yours,
Brittany A. Lim
